The Mpls Photo Center is located at 2400 North Second Street, Minneapolis, MN 55411, on the second and third floors of the Northwind Lofts. The Center is located four blocks north and two blocks east of West Broadway Avenue and Washington Avenue North, in the Hawthorne neighborhood and just north of the Minneapolis Warehouse District and on the western side of the Mississippi River from the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. We have free parking available for our members and guests.
From I-94 eastbound (North Minneapolis and northwest suburbs): Exit I-94 at the West Broadway Avenue exit and turn left at West Broadway. Turn left at Washington
Avenue North, and in four blocks at 24th Avenue North at the Holiday gas station, turn right. At the stop sign, continue forward to
the end of the parking lot. You will see a sign for the Mpls Photo Center.
From I-94 westbound (Downtown Minneapolis and Saint Paul): Exit I-94 at the West Broadway Avenue exit and turn left on Washington Avenue North. Continue heading north past West Broadway and turn right at 24th Avenue North at the Holiday gas station. At the stop sign, continue forward to the end of the parking lot. You will see a sign for the Mpls Photo Center.
From Washington and Hennepin, Downtown Minneapolis, via local streets: Head north (west) on Washington Avenue, passing the Warehouse District. Turn right at 24th Avenue North at the Holiday gas station. At the stop sign, continue forward to the end of the parking lot. You will see a sign for the Mpls Photo Center.
From Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC), via local streets: From Hennepin Avenue and 12th Street, head north on Hennepin. Turn left at Washington Avenue and follow the directions from "Hennepin and Washington."
From the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) via I-94: Head north on 3rd Avenue South. After crossing the freeway, turn right on East 16th Street and make a right to merge onto I-94 westbound. Follow the directions for "I-94 Westbound" above. If you prefer to take local streets, keep heading north on 3rd Avenue South and turn left on Washington Avenue. Follow the directions from "Washington and Hennepin" above.
From I-35W southbound (University of Minnesota and north suburbs): Head south on I-35W and exit for I-94 westbound. Follow the directions for "I-94 westbound" above. If you prefer to avoid I-94, exit I-35W at University Avenue SE and turn right. Proceed to Broadway Avenue NE and turn left. Follow the directions from "Broadway Avenue NE" below.
From I-35W northbound (south suburbs): Head north on I-35W and exit at I-94 westbound. Follow the directions for "I-94 Westbound" above. To take local routes instead, follow signs for 5th Ave S / Downtown exits. Turn left on Washington Avenue North and follow directions for "Washington and Hennepin."
From Broadway Avenue NE (Northeast Minneapolis): Head west on Broadway Avenue NE and cross the Mississippi River. Turn right at 2nd Street North and head four blocks north. At 24th Avenue North, turn right and continue to the end of the parking lot. You will see a sign for the Mpls Photo Center.
Public Transit from LRT: Exit the Hiawatha Light Rail at the Warehouse District/Hennepin Avenue station. Take the 22 bus line and follow the directions below, or take the 5 line from Hennepin and 7th Street South to Emerson Avenue North and West Broadway, then take the 14 bus line east and follow the directions below. Public Transit, 22 Bus Line: Get off at Lyndale Avenue North and 26th Avenue North. Walk five blocks east to North Second Street (passing I-94 and Washington Avenue North).
