Artist Talk: Terry Gydesen
Class Description
Terry is a freelance photographer based in Minneapolis and her passion for documenting political campaigns started in 1988 when she was hired by Jesse Jackson to document his Presidential campaign. With the support of various grants and fellowships, Terry has documented political campaigns both locally and nationally for the last 20 years, including Paul Wellstone. Gydesen also worked as Prince’s photographer in 1993 for his New Power Generation Tour in Europe, resulting in the book, Prince Presents the Sacrifice of Victor. She'll be sharing work from throughout her career, as well as speaking about her most recent project entitled 'Transition, A Daughter's Journey', which is a chronicle of her father's decline from Alzheimer's over four yearsFree for MPC members.
