We'll learn techniques for shooting in interesting urban locations near downtown Minneapolis, and also using studio strobes to get professional-looking portraits of yourself and classmates. You'll learn how to choose the best images to process and keep. Objectives include learning the basics of manual settings, framing shots in-camera utilizing compositional elements such as lines, perspective, angles and symmetry gaining an awareness of lighting effects; and some basic photo editing skills.

The course will include a short lecture, hands-on picture-taking  during indoor and outdoor sessions, basic editing, and everyone will leave with a print!  From our state-of-the-art digital lab, to our studio sets your teen will experience what a real photo studio is like.
