Photographing Birds in Flight and Machines that Fly!

Class Description

Have you ever wanted to capture images of birds in flight? Have you tried photographing planes at an airshow? While these may seem to be two different photographic areas of interest, the techniques involved in successfully capturing sharp images are essentially one and the same (with one exception that will be covered in this workshop!).

The class will begin with a one hour lecture that will discuss proper equipment and provide you with several focusing techniques for getting sharp images. From there, we will go on location to put in practice what you have learned as we photograph herons as they fly over the Mississippi carrying branches to build their nests.

This class will be held unless it is raining.  In case of rain we will reschedule.

Class Requirements

DSLR and a willing to spend time outdoors shooting along the banks of the Mississippi
