Women's Photo Adventure Day-Away.
Class Description
We will travel back to The Center mid-afternoon to learn some basic Lightroom Editing software so you can edit and choose some of your best photographs. We conclude with Happy Hour at 4:00, when we all learn to make an 11X14 digital print on the Epson 800 Color Printer as a momento of the day together!
The emphasis is on fun, and improving your photography a bit while enjoying a beautiful day away from it all!
Topics that will be discussed and demonstrated:
- We will practice and focus on: Controlling depth of field, creative use of fast AND slow shutter speeds, when to use different lenses, adjusting ISO, and use of a tripod. Our main emphasis will be on recognizing and framing great urban pictures, composition, and having fun with the camera!
Class Requirements
Please bring a Digital SLR camera or Compact Digital camera with ISO, Shutter Speeds and F-Stops.
We are recommending that you have taken our Beginning Digital 1 photography class or similar so you have some of the basics of the Exposure Triangle and Camera handling down.
Bring your camera bag with additional lenses if you have them, an extra battery and/or charger, and a tripod if you have one.

About the Instructor
Jeff Harrington:
Jeff is the Executive Director at the Mpls Photo Center. He worked as a professional photographer early in his career before evolving into film-making and video production. He has worked in advertising and digital media as an executive producer and director. Jeff has been an exhibiting artist these past 30 years in both group exhibitions and one man shows. His emphasis these last few years has been on color "street photography." Jeff enjoys teaching others, and sharing his approach to urban and street photography with his students and MPC Members. Jeff has degrees from SCSU in art, journalism, and marketing.
