This 2-session class is designed to introduce intermediate level photographers and enthusiasts who are interested in shooting fine art nudes to the basics of working with models, lighting techniques, use of backdrops, and the exploration of the medium and genre in the most tasteful way. Photographers will be working with experienced fine art models. Photographers will be introduced to lighting the fine art nude, the use of negative space, composition and framing the shot. Have you ever wanted to capture images of birds in flight? Have you tried photographing planes at an airshow? While these may seem to be two different photographic areas of interest, the techniques involved in successfully capturing sharp images are essentially one and the same (with one exception that will be covered in this workshop!). The class will begin with a one hour lecture that will discuss proper equipment and provide you with several focusing techniques for getting sharp images. From there, we will go on location to put in practice what you have learned as we photograph herons as they fly over the Mississippi carrying branches to build their nests. View Details
