Class Description

The small portable shoe-mount speedlights have become the only lighting tools for many photographers. Compactness, wireless capabilities, combined with numerous available after-market accessories (soft-boxes, grids, snoots, ring flash) can replicate lighting techniques that were once limited to big, expensive studio strobes requiring a large investment and an available power source.

These portable dedicated flashes go even a step beyond and offer something that is unattainable by the “big” strobes and that is wireless adjustment, high speed synch, and unique flash placement. This class will help you understand how to use portable flashes to their best potential and achieve desired lighting effects. A short lecture will be followed by a lighting demonstration and various areas to practice what you've learned.

The instructor and assistant will be available to help with any hands-on learning from the class.
