Landscape Photography - Capture to Post-Processing

Class Description

The goal of this on-site class is to learn how to get the best capture of landscape and travel scenes so our post-processing work is minimized. We will always encounter circumstances that make more or less post-processing necessary.

The goal is for students to be able to process and optimize their own images. All demonstrations and class work will be done using Photoshop, so working knowledge of Photoshop, including layers, is essential.

We begin by briefly examining successful travel images, followed by hands-on demonstrations and step-by-step instruction. We learn image assessment and best-practices workflow for quickly and efficiently processing travel images. Emphasis is on detailed demonstrations of techniques and hands-on practice with real images. Wacom tablets are available for use during the class, affording an opportunity for practice for those who have never used one.

A Photoshop class is recommended if you have no working knowledge of the application. We offer Part 2 of our two-day Photoshop Workshop that teaches valuable layers and layer adjustment techniques. See class list for more information.
