Class Description
Photography Camp Goals
During this week -long 1/2 day photography camp we will learn to control camera functions and improve how we capture photos in a fun, hands-on way. We will also learn how Lightroom Software can assist us to manage our pictures and make our photos even better. We will each produce a final print for Self Portrait, Motion Art, and Landscape.
Participants will Learn
• Composition techniques for making better photos
• "Seeing" angles and light
• How to control the camera to capture creative ideas
• Lightroom Software editing techniques
• Digital Printing
Daily Focus
Day 1 Get to know your camera. Indoor portraits in the studio.
Day 2 See the light. Become a studio photographer.
Day 3 Motion Art. Creating photos combining light and motion.
Day 4 Landscapes and Nature.
Day 5 Edit and Print Like a Pro. Photography Exhibit.
Presentations will be accompanied by handouts for post-class study. Participants will have hands-on photography or editing time every day. We will cap the week with a photo exhibit of each campers work for friends and family.
Class Requirements
Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR), Mirrorless, or Compact Digital camera. (the camera needs to have Shutter Preferred, Aperture Preferred, or Manual settings)

About the Instructor
Richard Guttman:
Richard Guttman is a practicing professional photographer and photography instructor. He has successfully taught this photography program to many beginning photographers. Wherever you are in your photographic journey, he can lead you down a path of a deeper understanding of the craft and increased confidence in creating images through knowledge of your camera, understanding of composition, and a proficient digital workflow.
